Are you an out-of-state student?

CBU is making a commitment to our out-of-state students—first-time freshmen and transfers alike. We guarantee that you will receive at least $10,000 of institutional aid.

Beginning in Fall 2020, upon acceptance to the university, the Financial Aid Office will review your file and confirm that your financial aid offer meets the $10,000 guarantee. If it does not, the Financial Aid Office will add an out-of-state grant in the amount needed to fulfill the $10,000 guarantee.

Ask your counselor if you have any questions. The $10,000 guarantee has a maximum semester limit of $5,000 and will be prorated for less than full-time enrollment. Athletes of a Division 1 sports team receiving an athletic scholarship are not eligible for this guarantee.
