Dr. Ken Nehrbass, assistant professor of social work: How degree programs define, measure, and improve Faith Integration: An analysis of 80 program reviews. Dr. Ana M. Gamez, professor of psychology: editor for the textbook Parental Influence on Educational Success and Wellbeing (May 2024). She also co-wrote chapters for the book with students and alumni from the forensic psychology program. Professional Accolades
Dr. Robert LaChausse, professor of public health, was elected to serve as a member on the Governing Council for the American Public Health Association. His term will run from October 2024 to October 2026.
Dr. Martha Daggett, adjunct professor of psychology, earned her Doctor in Social Work from CBU on Aug. 14. Her project was titled The Impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences on Adolescent Brain Development.
Student Highlights
Andrew McKee (’24) had a class essay published in the Sun Hero Magazine (August), a magazine devoted to black nerd pop culture. The article, titled The Hidden Figures, focuses on the intricacies of marginalized groups in Hollywood and historical African American filmmakers like Oscar Micheaux.
Personal Milestones
Robyn Luna, adjunct professor of political science, and her husband, Michael, welcomed a boy on July 5. Luke weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces and measured 21 inches.
Cassidy Gonzales, extern - sport and performance psychology program, and her husband, Raymond, welcomed a daughter on Aug. 26. Hallie Lucille Gonzales weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces and measured 20 inches.
Mario Limón, fire and life safety specialist in Facilities and Planning Services, and his wife, Kellie, celebrated the marriage of their son on May 16. Micah Limón (’23) married Xiclaly Aguilar (’23) in Rancho Cucamonga.
