Dr. James Zapata, assistant professor of physician assistant studies: Impact of Gamification on Electrocardiogram Interpretation. California Academy of Physician Associates Conference in Pomona on Oct. 11. Zapata, Dr. Benjamin Sanders, assistant professor of computer science and data science, Dr. Brian Bovee, associate professor of computer information technology, and Dr. Cathy Chang-Letherer, associate professor of physician assistant studies, conducted the research.

- $52,310 gift to an existing Double Major Endowed Scholarship fund for Bachelor of Theology students, to be matched by a private donor, and then matched again by CBU institutional funds – quadrupling the investment in CBU

Dr. Jennifer Cruz and Bárbara Padilla
Dr. Jennifer Cruz, associate professor of music, performed with soprano Bárbara Padilla, America’s Got Talent Season 4 runner-up, to open the Hemet Concert Association’s 2025-26 season. The concert was held on Oct. 12 at the Tahquitz High School Performing Arts Center in Hemet. The next day, the two presented a special program and Q&A session for more than 400 K-12 students, offering insights into opera and sharing career highlights as performing artists.
