Making an Impact
Christopher Kern
Christopher Kern, associate professor of photography, created the video and still portraits of Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson for the 2025 State of the City Address on Jan. 30. Produced in collaboration with the City of Riverside, the Chamber of Commerce and the Mayor's Office, these assets were showcased at center stage and featured across promotional materials for the annual event.

Dr. Jong-Wha Bai, professor of civil engineering and construction management, and Cameron Singh, assistant professor of aviation science, served on research panels reviewing student research at Eastvale STEM Academy in Eastvale, California, on Jan. 23-24.

Kevin Willis, dispatch supervisor for aviation science, and his wife, Sarah, adjunct professor of American Sign Language, welcomed a son on Jan. 31. Isaac Matteo Willis weighed 5 pounds, 4 ounces and measured 20.75 inches long.
