Avkin Conference

On March 13, the College of Nursing hosted the National Avkin Simulation Conference on campus, welcoming approximately 65 simulation professionals from across the U.S. This conference focused on the use of Avkin’s wearable simulation technology to enhance clinical decision-making in healthcare education.

Just in Time Career and Internship Fair — April 15 | 1-3 p.m. | Innovators Auditorium

The Career Center is hosting a Just in Time Career and Internship Fair and would love help spreading the word. This is the last career fair before spring graduation, giving students a final opportunity to connect with employers and secure next steps. With over 20 employer partners from various industries, this event allows CBU students to connect, discover internships and explore full-time roles tailored to their interests. Encourage students to stop by, bring copies of their resume and come ready to introduce themselves!

Raymond Carrillo Ceja

Raymond Carrillo Ceja, physician assistant graduate student, was chosen as a fellow for The East Los Angeles Community Union (TELACU) Foundation and awarded a scholarship. In this position, he will provide mentoring to undergraduate pre-PA students, conducting monthly check-ins to provide a wide range of advice and guidance as they navigate their personal care experiences and extracurriculars within their PA applications.

Darren Moorman, storyteller in residence for the College of Architecture, Visual Arts and Design, invited a group of CAVAD students to a private screening of his upcoming film, No Limbs, No Limits: The Nick V Story. Set to release in September, the film captures the story of Nick Vujicic, a world-renowned motivational speaker. The screening took place on March 11 at the Lido Theatre in Newport Beach, followed by a live conversation between Vujicic and Moorman and a Q&A.
