  • Academic Areas & Scholarly Interests

I love organic chemistry and specifically its application to biological issues. My interest is in using organic synthesis to make small molecules that could potentially be used to treat various diseases and sicknesses.

  • Church Membership & Activities

    Generations Church Moreno Valley

  • Community Service & Involvement

I am Chair of the San Gorgonio local Section of the American Chemical Society, where I organize numerous community service events each year.

One of my passions is to coordinate science outreach events for K-12 students. I have organized numerous outreach events on- and off-campus.

  • Interests & Hobbies

I love spending time with my husband (the other Dr. Nalbandian).

I am an animal-lover and I try to spend as much time as possible at zoos. When I travel, I try to visit that city's zoo, though the San Diego Zoo is still my favorite.

I love watching documentaries about almost anything.

My hobbies include reading, sleeping, doing puzzles, and doing arts and crafts.

  • Personal Philosophy

"God sets out the entire creation as a science classroom, using birds and beasts to teach wisdom." Job 35:11 (The Message)
