Dirk Dallas serves as Dean for CBU’s College of Architecture, Visual Arts & Design, one of the largest Christian art and design college in the United States. Dallas holds an M.F.A. in Graphic Design and Visual Experience from Savannah College of Art and Design. Dallas is a co-founder of Mere Creativity, an initiative dedicated to re-enchanting & cultivating creative purpose in Christian creatives.
He is an accomplished art director, designer, photographer, and filmmaker who brings together a deep passion for creativity, faith, and visual storytelling. His professional portfolio includes work with leading global brands, some of which include Nike, Google, Mini, Audi, Hurley and Disney. His nonprofit work spans such organizations as Charity Water, the CS Lewis Study Center, Experience Mission, Reasonable Faith, the Evangelical Philosophical Society and Living Proof Ministries. Dallas’ work has been exhibited internationally as well as across the US in galleries such as the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art, The New Block in San Francisco, One Arts Plaza in Dallas, and the MMS Gallery in Philadelphia.
Dallas' work has been featured across a range of national and international publications, including Travel and Leisure, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, USA Today, ABC News, HuffPost, and National Geographic and he is also the author of 'Eyes Over the World', published by Rizzoli New York.
In the classroom, he pushes his students to create work that looks beyond just the stylistic and aesthetic impact by challenging them to truly capture the hearts and minds of their audience as a way of serving as a Christian witness while also shaping and influencing culture.
