John Bolin is an artist who has excelled as a singer, worship leader, songwriter, arranger, and conductor. He has been performing and ministering to audiences since he was old enough to stand, and he is widely recognized as a premier soloist. John has presented over 1,300 concerts both nationally and internationally, and he has produced and sung on more than 40 albums. As a composer and arranger, he has written over 180 songs, with more than 225 songs and arrangements published in print. Many of his works have been featured on various artists’ albums, and his projects have received multiple Dove Award nominations. Since 2023, John has served as Vice President of Semsen Music, a choral publisher that creates worship and musical resources for thousands of churches around the world.
As a worship leader, John has been leading worship for churches and conferences across the country since he was 13 years old. During his junior year of college, he was hired as the Minister of Worship & Arts at Houston’s First Baptist Church, where he served for 12 years. He most recently served as the Pastor of Worship Ministries at Kingsland Baptist Church in Katy, Texas.
John has taught at numerous universities, helping to train the next generation of worship leaders. He also serves as a Professor and Conductor at California Baptist University, where he leads the University Choir and Orchestra, a 140-member student ensemble that ministers to churches and conferences nationwide. He is also the Vice President of Semsen Music, a leading choral publisher that provides music and worship resources to over 10,000 churches.
In 2019, he launched Worship Convergence International, a musical and missional travel organization that facilitates discipleship-focused trips for choirs, orchestras, and worship teams. Through this and other missional endeavors, John has personally led over 1,500 individuals on mission trips across the globe.
He is recognized as a leading voice for worship leaders, worship ministries, choirs and orchestras, multigenerational worship, and family worship. John has hosted and taught at numerous conferences worldwide, and his blogs and articles have been featured in various worship magazines and online platforms. He is also the author of How to Spell WORSHIP with Your Family, a book designed to equip parents to lead intentional, gospel-centered worship in the home. His love for the local church remains foundational as he continues to lead congregations in worship each week.
John and his wife, Paige, have been married since 2011 and live in Fort Worth, Texas with their five children: Grace (13), Hudson (11), John Luke (9), Levi (7), and Ellie (4).
