Renso Gomez Jimenez was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and has developed a passion for story telling through digital illustration during his career. Renso’s digital artwork focuses on Concept Art, Character Design, 3d Modeling and Narrative Illustration while his traditional practice depicts his interest in landscapes and vehicles through the creation of original oil paintings.
Renso has had the pleasure of working and collaborating with companies such as Ford Motor Company, Collectionzz Collectables, Great Park Art Gallery and Bandai Namco
Entertainment. Renso is an active member of organizations such as Concept Art Association, Corona Arts Association, Society of Illustrators, Orange County School of the Arts and CS Arts Academy.
Renso has the pleasure of serving as the Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Illustration and Entertainment Design at California Baptist University and has taught at various institutions such as California State University, Fullerton, Laguna College of Art and Design, Orange County School of the Arts and Santa Ana College.
Renso currently holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Illustration form CSU Fullerton, a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from CSU San Bernardino and two associate degrees in fine and Applied Arts from Riverside City College. He also attended specialized courses at Art Center College of Art and Design in order to develop his understanding of product and transportation design.
Renso’s interest in storytelling and design stems from his interest in literature and film. He believes that his interest in concept art is a direct outcome of growing up in South Central Los Angeles where his artwork became an escape from the troubles of the outside world.
