MY PERSONAL QUOTE: Written by Monica O'Rourke
"In life I can easily become complacent in compromise to the sins of this earth. Understanding that Christians and non-Christians alike are all sinners (Romans 3:22-23), I am called to love everyone which I will happily serve and do (Matt 22:36-39). Yet, I am called to be different because I am called to be an ambassador for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20). I am a Christian (Romans 1:16-18). With this comes humility and courage to be “Christ-like" (Matt 7:13-14). He calls me to shamelessly shine for Him (Matt 5:13-16). Our society says much is “okay” and acceptable to do (1 Peter 5:8). Yet, as a Christian I must discern when the world says “it is okay” does not mean it is acceptable or fruitful to God (1 Corinthians 10:23). When the world' s walls close in...God’s Word sweetly reminds me who “wins” the victory in the end (Revelations 21:1-8). Therefore, He calls me to be an ambassador for Him even when it is not convenient to me (Matt 16:24) or counters to what the world says is right or popular. Today, right now, my Lord calls me to be different. He calls me to be bold for Him and be a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable to Him (Romans 12:1). Why? Because that is the least I can do for all He has done for me (Romans 12:2). He has asked me to live as His disciple (John 13:34-35). Though I fall short daily (Romans 3:10-18), I pick myself up and am reminded today may be my final opportunity to role model and mentor those who are possibly looking to me for direction. I pray that each day I am able to put each piece of armor of God on (Ephesians 6:10-20) in order to glorify Him, represent Him, more over live for Him. What about you? Are you a Christian? Are you His disciple? It is more than a word. Amen." ~written by Monica O'Rourke, PhD

FAVORITE SCRIPTURE
"We are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making His appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, 'Come back to God!' For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ." Amen. 2 Corinthians 5:20
Matthew 5:14-16 "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
