Scripture:
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. —James 4:10
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. —Proverbs 3:5-6
Philosophy of Education:
I believe educators influence students during their matriculation journey with guidance, knowledge, and a commitment to excellence. The following pedagogical foci characterize my teaching philosophy: critical, independent thinking and integrating praxis, constructivist grounded theory, and cultural humility. My focus on cultural humility reflects my dedication to providing students with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to make solid ethical decisions that use a cultural humility approach.
