Community Service:
As a leader for the California Baptist University (CBU) Student USP trip to Boston, I guided a group of 10 students through five months of rigorous training, including devotions, prayer, and preparation for our mission (January 3, 2024, to May 25, 2024). Our service trip took place from May 18- May 25, 2024, and involved a multifaceted approach to community support. In Boston, we focused on serving individuals experiencing homelessness, trafficked women, residents of Methadone Mile, and refugees. Our efforts included distributing food, toiletries, and hygiene products. We also conducted prayer sessions on the streets to offer spiritual support to those in need.
In addition to street outreach, we engaged with refugees directly by teaching basic literacy skills such as letters, sounds, and numbers, and began reading instruction. We assisted them with job applications for a local grocery store, aiming to empower them with opportunities for employment.

I am passionate about a variety of outdoor and adventure activities, including snowboarding, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, indoor rock climbing, indoor skydiving, and rollerblading.
My husband, Kevin, and I share a love for traveling and discovering new places. Our adventures have taken us across the United States and to several countries, including Canada, Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, England, and Wales. We’ve explored a range of destinations, from snowboarding in Colorado and mountain biking in Mammoth to studying history in Washington and Virginia. We’ve also visited the bayou in Arkansas, Minnesota freeze, Utah for skiing and Zion National Park, Texas, New York for sightseeing, New Jersey, Nevada to water ski and Arizona to visit the Red Rocks.
I cherish spending time with my husband and our daughters, Chandler and her husband Joey, and McKenna and her husband Amir. We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of our first grandchild in September 2024.
"If my heart can dream it, my mind can believe it, I can achieve it."
Numbers 6:24-26
“The LORD bless you and keep you;
the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.” ’
My Christian Philosophy of Education is rooted in the profound value of education as prescribed in Scripture, which encourages us to teach, train, instruct, and grow in wisdom, emulating the example set by Christ. Central to this philosophy is a personal relationship with the Author of all knowledge, wisdom, and truth, which permeates every aspect of the educational process and content.
From a Christian perspective, the worldview integrates with every area of study, guiding objectives, methods, and procedures through the lens of God's truth. This perspective calls for a dedicated faculty who understand that while parents bear the ultimate responsibility for their children's education (Deuteronomy 4:9; 6:6-7; 11:19), teachers play a crucial role as daily role models.
Instructing a child involves a significant responsibility: to influence their mind, attitudes, spiritual growth, and emotional well-being. This task demands a teacher's firm foundation in God's truth and a vibrant relationship with Christ. A teacher’s life should exemplify the principles they teach, making a personal commitment to Jesus Christ essential. This includes a commitment to studying and applying God’s Word and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide them in the pursuit of truth.
