My primary field of research is New Testament, Early Christianity, and Patristic thought. These interests include the Christian Scriptures, early Christian origins, and Patristic theology and spirituality.

My current research concerns Cyril of Alexandria’s Trinitarian theology and use of Scripture as a pro-Nicene theologian.

My teaching and adjacent interests include: hermeneutics, history of interpretation, Late Roman Empire, Classical Greek and Latin Literature, and Historical Jesus Research.
