Practical Experience

Graduate Assistantship: A yearlong practical experience in a specified area relating to Fitness, Group Exercise, Climbing, Facility Operation or Student Development. This is a paid hourly position (NOT-benefits eligible); opportunities for renewal annually. You MUST be enrolled in a graduate program (at CBU or any institution locally) to qualify. Internship: this is a paid or unpaid position and MAY have the opportunity for academic credit depending on your major and requirements. There are a limited amount of internship opportunities available and requires VP approval.

Kinesiology Service Learning: an opportunity for fieldwork hours utilizing the skills and information learned academically in a practical setting. Experience may include:

  • 1.5 mile run
  • Sit and reach
  • BMI
  • Grip strength
  • Push ups
  • Crunches
  • VO2 Max
