Major: Music composition
Areas of Specialization: Kickboxing, Step, Strength Training
Fitness Philosophy: I believe in a total, complete healthy lifestyle. We should strive for whole living in all aspects of our lifephysical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Each aspect affects each other and therefore works with each other. When a person is in great physical shape, they feel great and more effectively handle life and get the most out of their life. They feel more confident, have more energy and therefore are capable of accomplishing and achieving more.

Favorite Scripture: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time." —1 Peter 1:3–5

Amber

Amber McAtee

Year: Sophomore
Hometown: Malang, Indonesia
Major: Criminal justice
Areas of Specialization: Step, Kickboxing
Fitness Philosophy: I love to be active and participate in sports. That is something God has allowed me to excel in. Becoming a GX instructor allows me to be active while leading people (another passion of mine), and I want to show the love of God to those who need it while also glorifying Him through working our bodies. As it says in the Bible, our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and I want to help people who come to our classes realize that and help them understand that that is the reason we work out. Not just to improve our body image, but to become a healthier version of ourselves.
Favorite Scripture: "So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal."
‭‭—2 Corinthians 4:16–18 ‭

Talia

Talia Friesen

Year: Senior
Hometown: Meknès, Morocco
Major: Photography
Areas of Specialization: Deep Stretch
Fitness Philosophy: Working out is such a great way to boost confidence and feel great! Even though a high-intensity workout can be rewarding, it can also be very stressful on the body. I think it's important to take breaks to allow the body to recover. Stretching is awesome because it helps heal our muscles faster and deepen our range of motion! After a deep stretch session, I feel more energized and ready to bring my A-game in my other workouts!
Favorite Scripture: I love the verse in Romans 15:13 that says, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." This verse encourages me to put my trust in Him daily, because only then will I experience His incomparable joy and peace.
