Talia Friesen

Year: Senior
Hometown: Meknès, Morocco
Major: Photography
Areas of Specialization: Deep Stretch
Fitness Philosophy: Working out is such a great way to boost confidence and feel great! Even though a high-intensity workout can be rewarding, it can also be very stressful on the body. I think it's important to take breaks to allow the body to recover. Stretching is awesome because it helps heal our muscles faster and deepen our range of motion! After a deep stretch session, I feel more energized and ready to bring my A-game in my other workouts!
Favorite Scripture: I love the verse in Romans 15:13 that says, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." This verse encourages me to put my trust in Him daily, because only then will I experience His incomparable joy and peace.

Favorite Scripture: ‭Philippians 3:8, this verse serves as a constant reminder that nothing in life is as important as my relationship with Christ. The world can be very distracting, but this verse taught me to toss aside those distractions and focus first on Christ.

Fitness Philosophy:

Working out and staying fit has always been a passion of mine. I have played almost every sport and I coached club water polo so I love seeing my team grow to love the sport and what they do everyday and I hope to bring this enjoyment to the students in my class, too. It is so amazing that our body's have the strength to do what they do everyday and that we get to glorify God through this.
Favorite Scripture:

"She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future" (Proverbs 31:25).
