Joe Fix
Fitness Coordinator & GX Instructor

Bio: Joe Fix attended Cal Poly Pomona and graduated with a BS in behavioral science in 1993. He has lived in Scottsdale, AZ since 1996 where he worked for Bally Total Fitness for 7 years as a personal trainer and facility manager. He opened up his own personal training business and ran that for the last 10 years! He has trained professional athletes, celebrities and everyday moms and dads! He is IFPA certified and has an extensive background in nutrition and keeps up on the ever changing field of fitness!

Fitness Philosophy:

Working out and staying fit has always been a passion of mine. I have played almost every sport and I coached club water polo so I love seeing my team grow to love the sport and what they do everyday and I hope to bring this enjoyment to the students in my class, too. It is so amazing that our body's have the strength to do what they do everyday and that we get to glorify God through this.
Favorite Scripture: "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future" (Proverbs 31:25).

Fitness Philosophy: I am an instructor because I love helping people feel great and seeing the improvements my students accomplish!
Favorite Scripture: My current favorite scripture is Psalm 9:10 "Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you." I love this scripture because it reminds me that Jesus will never take his eyes off us and encourages me to keep trusting that God hears my deepest desires and praises to Him.
