Description: It's time for a girls only event held at the Rec Center! Ladies, come enjoy several fun events including female led fitness events as well as personal instruction on the various resources in the Rec Center. It will be a night centered on building female strength and dignity. Come experience it for yourself!

Time: Tuesdays 5:15 - 6:00pm

Description: If you want to burn over 800 calories in 40 minutes during high intensity cardio interval training, this is the class for you! This combination of low-impact cardio on the ARC elliptical machine and bodyworks on a mat results in a unique and fun full-body workout.

Time: 8 - 9pm

Description: Fun with glow-in-the-dark doesn't have to end in elementary school. Our special Glow Cycle class is a one of a kind exercise experience! It is so fun, it won't even feel like work. Meet us in Stamps Courtyard the week before February 9 to design your own glow-gear, then pick up that personalized gear at 8pm and start an exhilarating class. Invite all your friends to fill up our bikes; you won't regret it!

 

Olympic Weight Lifting

Time: Thursdays 5:30 - 6:30pm

Description: Here is your chance to learn the best techniques in lifting or to improve on what you already know. This workshop will include instruction on barbell and dumbbell snatch and hang cleans! Olympic lifting is not just for athletes and cross-fit gurus; everyone can join! All experience levels are encouraged.

 

Women's Self Defense

Time: 5 - 9pm

Description: The Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) System is a program of realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques. It is a comprehensive course for women that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. Sign-up at the Recreation Center. A refundable $25 deposit required and returned at the completion of the course.

Time: 7am & 7pm

Description: It is a universal fact that stretching is a great way to start and end your day. So join us on the roof for a fun time of deep stretching and bring as many friends as you can! There is no wrong or right way to stretch, but our instructor will show you the best ways to stretch. It will be a great time of community while watching the beauty of the day's beginning and end.
