Description: Commitment, perseverance and dedication are just some of the adjectives required to train like a Spartan. Spartan Challenge will get you prepared to run in a Spartan Sprint Race and is for intermediate to advanced fitness levels. This is obstacle course training at its best. Race date is April 28th in Los Angeles.

Description: It's time for a girls only event held at the Rec Center! Ladies, come enjoy several fun events including female led fitness events as well as personal instruction on the various resources in the Rec Center. It will be a night centered on building female strength and dignity. Come experience it for yourself!

Description: Yes, it’s Men’s Night! Brought to you by the Rec Center, ASCBU, Community Life, Residence Life, Provider and the Office of Spiritual Life to create a men's only gym night full of competitions and challenges.
Women's Self Defense
Date: Feb 20 OR Mar 2
Time: 4-8 p.m.
Description: The Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) System is a program of realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques. It is a comprehensive course for women that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. Sign up at the Recreation Center! A refundable $25 deposit is required but will be returned at the completion of the course. Olympic Weight Lifting

Couch to 5K
Date: Mar 29-Apr 19
Time: Thursdays 4-5pm
Description: This program is designed to take non-runners and give them the opportunity, encouragement, and training to become a runner! Participants will be given a running/training schedule that works up to their 5k goal. Each Thursday, the group will meet together and run under the supervision of a Personal Trainer with stretching and a core workout.
