Safety 101 is a class designed to equip climbers with all the safety skills required to pass the climbing wall Top-Rope Safety (Belay) Test. All equipment is provided. Class is limited to 6 participants and will take about 30 to 45 minutes. Class and test will be offered throughout the summer. Please stop by the climbing wall as the class is offered on a "first come, first serve" basis.
This course must be completed to use the climbing wall.
Technique is a free, unlimited, one-on-one personalized training course to assist climbers of any level. Technique is instructed by our experienced lead climbing attendants. Participants will learn and practice different climbing methods, which will help improve their climbing and bouldering skills such as: footwork, route climbing, controlled power, bouldering and movements to improve the sequencing through a route or problem. Those interested can sign up at the Rec Center reception desk.

This event is a climbing competition for all levels of climbers. Students will be faced with different obstacles and challenges on the bouldering wall as well as a chance to build community with other climbers at CBU. This event is open to the first 30 people, so first come, first served!

Stretch Clinic for Climbers
Dates: January 31, February 28, March 28, and April 25 (last Wednesday of each month)
Time: 8–9 p.m.
Learn the basic poses that will specifically target muscles involved in climbing and improve your climbing technique. This class will increase your flexibility and core strength. Our emphasis is building awareness of breath and body. This class is recommended for all levels of fitness and is located at the CBU Climbing Wall.
