Objectives:

  1. Bring awareness to, and advocate for, best practices in short-term volunteer projects serving orphans and other vulnerable populations;
  2. Support churches, nonprofits, and educational institutions in their service to orphans and other vulnerable populations;
  3. Develop and deploy a free online evidence-based curriculum for short-term missions and service intended to benefit orphans and vulnerable populations;
  4. Provide a Third Alternative: As faith-based scholar-practitioners, work to reconcile historic approaches to short-term mission and service with orphans and vulnerable populations with contemporary ethically conscious anti-engagement movements (i.t., initiatives concerned with orphan tourism).
