Resources for Students

  • Handshake

CBU Career Center's online platform allowing students and alumni to find career opportunities, communicate with over 11,000 worldwide employers and learn about upcoming CBU Career Center events.

Please be advised that all jobs, including jobs on Handshake, should be reviewed to ensure they are valid.  Every effort is made to vet employers before posting jobs/internships on Handshake. However, it is a rare case where a fraudulent post will occur.  To protect yourself, NEVER provide your social security number, driver's license number, bank information, or other private information to an employer.  This is a warning sign that the post is fraudulent.  You can always contact the Career Center with any concerns and notify us of suspicious posts.

  • Appointments

We offer in-person and virtual appointments for mock interviews, career and internship guidance, major guidance and resume, cover letter, Handshake, and LinkedIn profile reviews.

  • Events

Employer networking opportunities through career fairs and presentations! See all the upcoming Career Center events

  • Online Assessments

Students can utilize the Focus2 Assessment and What Can I Do With This Major? resources for additional guidance in identifying potential careers.

  • Document Library

Visit our office or Handshake to view our document library, where you will find resources geared toward helping with resumes, cover letters, networking, and more.

  • LinkedIn Headshots

Students have monthly opportunities to have a professional headshot taken for their LinkedIn and Handshake accounts.

  • Wardrobe Closet

At no additional cost, students can borrow professional clothing for their next interview, networking event, or professional occasion. If you would like to donate, please contact us here or call 951.343.5031
