    We provide enjoyable classes that encourage participation and educate patrons on the benefits of exercise. Group Exercise has something for everyone and is suited for individuals of all fitness levels.

  • Personal Training Inquiry

    Personal Training

    Our goal is to educate and empower the CBU community on how to properly use and incorporate important aspects of fitness and conditioning in their daily life. Our trainers work to teach our client’s proper form and general fitness principles so that they can build the confidence and fitness they need to feel comfortable working out on their own and incorporating movement in their everyday lives.

  • Body Composition Analysis

    Body Composition Analysis

    Using the Inbody 270 Bio Impedance Scale located in the Personal Training Suite to assess your body fat %, body lean mass, body weight and so much more. Each session is 30 minutes, and a Fitness Lead will go over your results and help you create a fitness goal utilizing your Inbody outcomes.

  • Fitness Testing

    Fitness testing is a series of tests that measures and monitors students' physical fitness levels. The series of tests assess the five components of physical fitness that make up total fitness: cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition.

  • NASM-CPT Prep Course

    NASM-CPT is a 9-week course that is geared to those who want to become personal trainers. It will cover the essentials of personal training and opportunities for hands-on experience. Here is everything that is included in the NASM-CPT course:

  • Weight Room Orientation

    Weight Room Orientation

    Do you want to workout in the Rec Center but you are unsure how to use the equipment? Sign up for a weight room orientation with one of our Fitness Leads and learn how to use various equipment around the gym. This is a 1 hour appointment and you will learn how to adjust weights, proper positions, while using equipment and increase your confidence while working out in the Rec Center.

  • Powerlifting Competition

    Sign up for our first-ever powerlifting competition to be held on October 14th at the Rec Center. The lifts for the competition include max squat, bench press, and deadlift. Sign ups are through IM leagues, please follow the steps below:

    How to Sign Up

    • Go to intramurals.calbaptist.edu.
    • Log in with your student ID number and Lancermail password.
    • Select California Baptist University at the top left of the page.
    • Scroll down to select which league you would like to join.
    • Create a team.
