Spring Registration will be taking place on two (2) dates:

December 17th, 2018 (event closed)
January 7th, 2019  

There is no registration fee to attend this event. Students are permitted to bring a maximum of two guests with them to the event.

Who should attend Spring Registration?

Spring Registration is a required event for students beginning at CBU the spring 2019 semester. At Spring Registration, students will register in their classes for the semester and have their questions answered from a variety of offices including Academic Advising, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, the Office of the University Registrar, Residence Life, and more! Schedule highlights also include sessions on CBU community and culture and the process to complete financial arrangements at CBU.

Guest programming will also be offered during some portions of the event.

All residential students, regardless of which event date they attend, will be able to move in to their on-campus living areas on the morning of Monday, January 7th. 

In addition, all students living four (4) or more hours away are encouraged to attend the Spring Registration date on Monday, January 7th, at which time they will register for classes. 


Things to Do Before Attending

Below are several actions you may want to take once you have already signed up to attend Spring Registration:

Online Orientation: Prepare to be a Lancer by exploring our online orientation module. You can log in using your InsideCBU username and password. This online orientation will allow you to learn more about the CBU experience, traditions and explore the resources that are available to you as a student. We hope this allows you to learn more about your areas of interest and get excited about this upcoming spring.

Housing Application: Students that plan to live on campus must complete an online housing application. Students will have access to complete the online application within two (2) business days after being accepted to CBU. 

Meal Plan: To choose a meal plan at CBU, please click on the following link (available in late November): CBU Meal Plan. (Once on the page, you will need to log in to InsideCBU using your credentials).

For your reference, below is the list of Meal Plan options for both Residents and Commuters:

Resident Student Meal Plan Options (Per Semester): 
Plan D= 135 Meals/$150 Dining Dollars - $1,500 (Minimum Meal Plan for Residents)
Plan E= 155 Meals/$200 Dining Dollars - $1,730
Plan F= 180 Meals/$200 Dining Dollars - $1,945
Plan G= 200 Meals/$250 Dining Dollars - $2,155
Plan H= 225 Meals/$250 Dining Dollars - $2,350
Plan I= 250 Meals/$250 Dining Dollars - $2,550
Plan J= 275 Meals/$250 Dining Dollars - $2,750
Plan K= 300 Meals/$250 Dining Dollars - $2,955
 
Commuter Student Meal Plan Options (Per Semester): 
Plan A= 45 Meals/$50 Dining Dollars - $500
Plan B= 70 Meals/$50 Dining Dollars - $750
Plan C= 90 Meals/$100 Dining Dollars - $1,000
 

*Meal plans are required of all students residing in university housing for Traditional Students. Meal plan participation is not required for commuting students. Commuting students interested in a meal plan may pick from any of the plans offered above.

Health Insurance: is required for all Traditional Undergraduate students at CBU enrolled in seven (7) units or more.  Students are automatically charged for and enrolled in the medical insurance provided through UnitedHealthcare Student Resources.  Students who have their own insurance or are covered through their parents can choose to "opt out" of the student insurance plan by completing the online waiver.  On the Health insurance web page, look under "Student Access" and click on "Student Waive."  You will be required to create an account and then will be directed to the waiver form.  The waiver must be completed prior to the Spring 2019 last day to drop a course with a refund.

FERPA Form: California Baptist University is unable to release any personal educational information to anyone other than the student without prior written consent. This form grants or denies permission for CBU to discuss student information with, for example, a parent or guardian who is named on the form. Please complete and bring to Spring Registration: FERPA form

Tuition and Fee Agreement: This form gives CBU permission to apply your grants and scholarships to your CBU fees. Please complete this form and bring it to Spring Registration: Tuition and Fee Agreement.

Parking PermitPlease submit your vehicle information to our Safety Services office in order to park on campus. Visit the Safety Services tab on InsideCBU (login required) to enter your vehicle information. You will be notified via LancerMail once your vehicle permit is ready for pickup.

Guest & Parents of New Students

What should I attend?

At Spring Registration, we have programmed our sessions with parents and guests in mind. This will be the main opportunity for parents and guests of incoming students to have their questions answered and to hear helpful information. You are encouraged to attend all of the sessions at Spring Registration. As the event draws closer, a sample schedule will be available to reference session titles.

What information will be covered?

Our hope is that Spring Registration will provide answers to every question that you or your student may have about CBU. We will have designated sessions for Academic Majors, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, University life and expectations, and resources available to students. There will also be time to visit offices on campus to handle University business. As the event draws closer, a sample schedule will be available to reference session titles.

Will my student and I have time to meet with CBU offices?

Yes! Offices will be open throughout Spring Registration, and can be visited at any time during the day. These offices include: Academic Advising (class registration), Financial Aid, Student Accounts (student billing), University Registrar (course transcripts), Student Services, and more. Offices are also available at regular hours throughout the academic year.
