How do I Qualify?
Lancer Select is a special group for our early-admitted Lancers for the fall 2024 semester. In order to be eligible for Lancer Select, here are the steps you need to complete:

First-Time Freshman: Students that are currently enrolled in high school or have completed less than 24 units of transferable college credit.
Transfer: Students who have completed 24 or more units of transferable college credit.
The Priority Application Deadline for the fall semester is December 1st.
- Write a brief a 3–5 paragraph essay response on the following question, "What do you hope to gain from your experience as a student at California Baptist University?" Provide examples from an academic, social and spiritual standpoint.
- Pay the $45 application fee (non-refundable) in order to submit your application.
First-Time Freshman: Our normal requirement is official, sealed transcripts from your high school and college or university (if applicable) and have them sent directly to the Undergraduate Admissions Office.
- Home educated/school students: Please contact your admissions counselor regarding proper formatting standards for your official transcript.
Transfer: You will need to order official, sealed transcripts from each college or university attended and have them sent directly to the Undergraduate Admissions Office.
- If you have completed less than 60 units of transferable college credit, then you must send proof of high school graduation to the Undergraduate Admissions Office.
*For the fall 2024 semester, test scores for the SAT/ACT/CLT will not be considered for admission to CBU. However, if you have already taken the SAT/ACT/CLT, you can still submit your scores for English/Math placement.
Students who completed their CBU application by December 1, the Priority Application Deadline, received an early decision and the opportunity to become a Lancer Select member!

Campus Store Discount
Enjoy a one-time 10% discount (excluding textbooks) from now until April 30th, 2024 on select CBU Merchandise. Present your Lancer Select card to receive your discount upon purchase!
Housing Access
You’ll have early access to the Housing Application. Fill out a profile, find a roommate and select a housing preference!
Financial Aid Offer
An expedited financial aid offer. You must have your FAFSA submitted with CBU’s school code added 001125 in order for our financial aid team to create an offer for you.
Event Access
You’ll have early access to sign-up for the following events:
- Lancer Day: A day for accepted students to hear from future professors, have opportunities to attend breakout sessions on popular topics!
- New Student Class Registration: Class Registration is an online process where you will register in classes for your first semester at CBU with the help of Academic Advising.
