Service is important to California Baptist University, so whether you’re currently serving in the U.S. Military, have served, or are a spouse or child of someone who serves or has served, CBU is here to serve you.
We are excited that you are taking the next step in your journey by looking into using
your GI Bill at CBU! You can use your GI Bill® Chapters 1606, 30, 31, 33 and 35. CBU
is a Yellow Ribbon school and we have unlimited scholarships available at the undergraduate
and graduate levels.
In 2023/2024, more than 570 CBU students used their Veterans Education Benefits, and
79 students received Military Tuition Assistance (TA). Each year there are more than
100 student veterans and dependents using their benefits to graduate!

Full Suite of Military Benefits at CBU
CBU maximizes the GI Bill® and Military Tuition Assistance (TA) programs for active duty military personnel, veterans and their dependents. Military students receive personalized guidance on financial aid options, including scholarships, grants, and loans, to supplement their benefits and make higher education more affordable.
CBU is an approved Student Veterans of America (SVA) chapter. SVA is an inclusivity seeking organization dedicated to the promotion of student veterans, active duty, and military dependents. Its goal is to be actively involved in the larger campus and local community in the service of others and in advocacy for those who have served their country in military service and the families and friends that support/supported them.
The VRC at CBU is designed to be a dedicated place student veterans can both obtain administrative support and just relax and study. Here, veterans can interact with one another and obtain important information to enhance their academic journey.
