Can I use the CalVet College Tuition Fee Waiver at CBU?
No. The CalVet Fee Waiver can only be used at California public colleges and universities. Since CBU is a private institution, the CalVet waiver cannot be applied to tuition or fees here.
How long does it take to receive my Certificate of Eligibilty (COE) from the VA?
First-time recipients should receive their COE approximately 30 days after first applying. If you have previously applied for benefits you can obtain your COE at any time through the VA.gov site.
Who do I contact if I have questions regarding my eligibility or remaining benefits?
Does CBU participate in Yellow Ribbon? What does it cover?
Yes. CBU participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program for students eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® at the 100% benefit level. Yellow Ribbon helps cover tuition and fees that exceed the VA’s annual private-school cap, up to a CBU set annual maximum. Yes. You can use VA education benefits along with FAFSA-based aid.
