Overall, how welcomed did you feel as an international student at CBU?

My initial encounter with Daphne was very impactful as she met me in India and spoke highly of CBU and how inclusive the environment is. That along with the course I was in were the main factors influencing my decision to join CBU. I did feel very welcomed and accepted on campus i.e. at CBU, in class with my peers and I appreciate Global Engagement as being a resource to help adjust. My professors also played an important role in ensuring I was having opportunities to succeed in my program and outside of it.

What resources, offices or communities at CBU helped you adjust to life in the U.S. or on campus?

CBU Counseling center. I did have a hard time adjusting to life abroad and living without my parents. The CBU Counseling center was very helpful in helping me cope with the changes and empowering me to be on my own.

How did your education at CBU help prepare you for your career?

Throughout my course, we had practical projects that involved working hands on with clients and stakeholders which ensured I have a grip beyond conceptual knowledge. Constant presentations and stage to learn and convey my expertise really reinforced learning. Moreover, site visits were very helpful.

Beyond my course, the Center for Career and Professional Development had great resources that helped work on my resume and interviewing skills so I can prepare myself better and understand the cultural nuances of interviewing in the US.

What skills or experiences from CBU do you use most in your job today?

Stakeholder management, Cross cultural communication and all things learned in my course work.

Yes. Great coursework. Good value for money. Wonderful sense of community.

Would you recommend CBU to other international students? Why?

If someone is looking for a degree beyond academics or theory, CBU would be their place. It is not just value for time and money but also a great place for a sense of community.
