Band and Jazz Camp (June 22-27, 2026)

California Baptist University is excited to partner with Riverside City College to present the first ever Band and Jazz Camp! Inviting young musicians entering the 7th through 12th grade in fall 2026, the bands will be led by CBU and RCC faculty and student coaches. Campers will experience making music in a variety of settings from concert band, jazz band, chamber music, sectionals, instrumental pedagogy and more. Concert Band (Grades 7 - 9)

For emerging wind band instrumentalists (woodwinds, brass, and percussion) who have studied their instrument for at least one year. Emphasis on reinforcing good fundamental technique on the instrument, including breath support, tone quality, and intonation. Grade 2-3 repertoire.

Wind Ensemble (Grades 9 - 12)

For advanced wind band instrumentalists who have played their instrument for at least two years. Areas of emphasis will include characteristic tone production, and advanced concepts of intonation, blend and balance. Grade 3-4 repertoire will be studied.

Registration deadline for the CBU/RCC Band and Jazz Camp has been extended to June 15, 2026.
