You are invited to attend the  BFA@CBU IN-PERSON High School Creative Writing Workshop at the CBU Arts and Letters Symposium.

When is the Arts and Letters Symposium at CBU?
The Arts and Letters Symposium takes place on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 8:45am-12:30pm.

What is the Arts and Letters Symposium?  Current CBU students will be showcasing their creative and scholarly work completed in a variety of courses in the College of Arts and Sciences, Arts and Letters division. This includes the current CBU Creative Writing students. They will be reading their original prose and poetry.

During the symposium, BFA@CBU will be holding an IN-PERSON high school creative writing workshop

What happens at BFA@CBU IN-PERSON High School Creative Writing Workshop? At the in-person creative writing workshop, writers, like you, workshop poems, stories, and essays, seeking ways to hone your craft, getting tips on writing, learning about editing, and meeting other creative writers. This is also a great time to work on a piece you might like to submit to our high school creative writing contest (but that's not required).

After the in-person workshop, you are invited to listen to the main speaker at the Arts and Letters Symposium, possibly gain a tour of the larger CBU campus, and join us for lunch.

The first 20 high school students to sign up for the BFA@CBU IN-PERSON high school creative writing workshop at the CBU Arts and Letters Symposium will receive complimentary lunch and deadline extension for the high school creative writing contest.
