Consistent with the university student outcomes, upon completion of the Master of Science in Education degree, graduates will be able to:

  1. Evaluate a range of contemporary issues related to education from a variety of worldviews and perspectives.
  2. Develop and articulate a personal worldview.
  3. Develops and articulates a personal leadership philosophy.
  4. Analyze trends, issues, and research associated with education in general as well as within their specific specialization. 
  5. Examine principles of teaching that can be derived from psychological theories and research for both pedagogy and andragogy.
  6. Analyze educational systems in the global society using theories of teaching and learning.

EDU 522: Curriculum Theory and Development

This course is an overview of curriculum from the societal level to the classroom level and the experiences of the learner.

EDU 521: Theories of Learning and Teaching

Examination of principles of teaching that can be derived from psychological theories and research, including behavioral, cognitive, and social theories.

EDU 501: Leadership, Worldviews and Contemporary Issues

Students will evaluate a range of contemporary issues related to education from different leadership and worldview perspectives and develop a worldview and leadership philosophy.

To complete your online degree, you will need access to a computer, Wi-Fi and a word processor like Microsoft Word.
