The Spanish minor (19-25 units) at California Baptist University is designed to provide students with the basic Spanish speaking skills and knowledge needed to complement a broad variety of majors.

This course introduces a consideration of personal worldview, faith, and the discipline of Spanish, including literary studies and writing in Spanish. It is also designed to introduce students to the basic skills necessary for academic success in the discipline of Spanish and to provide students with an overview of the discipline, including requirements of the major and expectations of the professions in which that major may be applied. This course is designed specifically for speakers of Spanish who can communicate well orally but have little formal training in Spanish, particularly in writing it. The class emphasizes activities that acquaint students with Spanish in its written form and expands students' overall knowledge of the language. This course will review the principles of Spanish grammar, emphasizing their application to composition. Cannot receive credit for both SPA 223 and SPA 230.
