Upon completion of the MSITM program, you can:

  1. Apply concepts and perspectives on organizational leadership, multidisciplinary perspectives and leadership models to actual organizational situations.
  2. Apply relevant principles on the design of computer-based information systems to increase organizational effectiveness and efficiency in the development and implementation of organizational strategy and the control and evaluation of organizational activities.
  3. Demonstrate necessary skills to resolving conflict by applying conflict analysis models, tools and processes.

Designed as a one-year program, the MS in Information Technology Management is 30 units consisting of:

  • Core requirements (18 units)
  • Concentration courses (12 units)

Business Analytics

The business analytics concentration offers a comprehensive overview of how information technology management operates in business. Learn about translating data into decision-making, how to collect meaningful data and utilize it to anticipate potential challenges, create impactful data visualizations, implement exploratory, forecasting,  predictive modeling and more.

Information Systems Structure

The information systems structure concentration provides you with advanced training in understanding the makeup of an enterprise information systems infrastructure, which includes computer-based software and hardware, big data, operating systems and many other topics. Additionally, you study cyber law and organization compliance and emerging new technologies and how to strategically utilize them.

ITM 502: Managing Cyber Threats

The course examines the knowledge and skills used to protect networks using the tools and techniques of an ethical hacker.

ITM 520: Systems Security

This course emphasizes the importance and application of information security with a focus on protecting an organization’s information assets.

ITM 540: Emerging Technologies

This course focuses on the evaluation, assessment and adoption of new technologies to support and enhance organizational strategy and competitive advantage.

  • Application with a $45 application fee.
  • Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
  • Three letters of recommendation.
  • Résumé, including any relevant volunteer or work experience.
  • A written statement of purpose or in-person/virtual program interview (student’s choice).

Computer and information systems managers’ median annual wage is $159,010; however, annual salaries can range from $95,220 to $208,000, depending on experience and industry.
