Integrated Science, BS
An Integrated Science major is designed for students whose interests and abilities cross over between the traditional science and mathematics disciplines. Students will build in a broad lower-level foundation by taking upper-division courses in each of two disciplinary areas of emphasis.
Program Intro
The Bachelor of Science in Integrated Science at California Baptist University is designed for students whose interests span multiple scientific disciplines. Students develop a broad foundation across the sciences and mathematics, then gain depth through two upper-division areas of emphasis.
This flexible, student-designed program features a streamlined 56-unit structure and a faith-integrated approach, preparing graduates for science-based careers and graduate pathways that value interdisciplinary thinking, adaptability and real-world problem-solving.

Why Study Integrated Science at CBU?
A Flexible Path Built Around You
The Integrated Science program is ideal for students whose academic strengths span multiple scientific disciplines. Instead of forcing an early commitment to one field, this program allows you to shape a coherent academic pathway across two areas of emphasis aligned with your goals: from data-driven science careers to science education or interdisciplinary industry roles.
An Efficient Degree with Faster Time to Completion
With just 56 required units, this program is significantly more streamlined than comparable interdisciplinary science programs at many public universities. The lean structure reduces academic overload, supports on-time graduation and makes it easier to pair the major with minors, credentials or co-curricular experiences.
Designed to Keep You Moving Forward
Many students begin in traditional science majors but encounter barriers in highly specialized upper-division coursework. Integrated Science provides a rigorous alternative that preserves progress toward graduation while opening new academic and career possibilities, helping students stay on track and complete their degree.
Career Flexibility with Faith Integration
Graduates are prepared for a wide range of science-based careers and teaching pathways without being locked into a narrow outcome. The program aligns with California’s Foundational Level General Science requirements and can support a Single Subject Teaching Credential, all while integrating a biblical worldview that emphasizes the interconnected nature of the sciences.
What You'll Learn
- Students will create professional documents demonstrating preparedness for future careers.
- Students will demonstrate interdisciplinary scientific knowledge and technical competence through a portfolio.
- Students will articulate a biblical perspective on the interconnected nature of the sciences, integrating faith and learning.
