Riverside, Calif. (Feb. 8, 2023) – Thousands of visitors are expected to attend Homecoming at California Baptist University on Feb. 10-11.

The weekend is filled with activities and opportunities for alumni to return to campus and reconnect. Alumni, students, parents and families are invited to participate and make new memories.

This year CBU will celebrate the 10-, 25- and 50-year class reunions as well as honor alumni award winners and gather with over 4,000 alumni, parents and students on the Front Lawn for the Homecoming carnival.

“Homecoming is a wonderful time when generations of Lancers come together,” said Paul Eldridge, J.D., vice president for University Advancement. “The weekend is full of wonderful memories and activities that the entire Lancer community enjoys. It will be a weekend to remember, for sure.”

Friday evening’s entertainment will feature a carnival on the Front Lawn. The event will include carnival attractions, rides and games. Music groups will perform, and food trucks will be on hand as alumni and students mingle.

Also that evening, the Alumni Awards Dinner will hand out several honors, including the Young Alumni Achievement Award, the Alumni Service Award and Alumni Philanthropy Award.

Saturday includes a 50-year reunion and breakfast for those who graduated in 1973 or earlier, campus tours, the annual hymn sign and a reunion mixer to connect with others from a specific college or school.

In the evening, a pregame party before the men’s basketball game will feature live music, food trucks, attractions and face painting. On the court, the Lancers, who currently are 13-11 overall, 5-6 conference, will face New Mexico State University.
