CBU online programs rank in top 50 by U.S. News & World Report

Riverside, Calif. (Jan. 24, 2023)  ̶  California Baptist University ranked in the top 50 in two categories for online education in the latest national rankings released by U.S. News & World Report.

In the “Best Online Master's in Computer Information Technology Programs” list, CBU claimed the No. 34 spot in the 2023 rankings.

Dr. Thomas Jernejcic, director of online education for the Dr. Robert K. Jabs School of Business, said the ranking is reflective of the high quality and relevance of CBU’s information technology management graduate program and the value extended to the students.

“This value is enhanced by our Christian ethos and is driven by our belief that information technology best serves the community when aligned with God-honoring principles, resulting in ethical innovation and global benefit,” said Jernejcic, who is also the director of the Master of Science in Information Technology Management program. “Students are not only academically prepared to succeed and excel in their careers, but they are also equipped to pursue technology in a manner that honors God and benefits the world around them.”

CBU also earned the No. 49 spot for “Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans.”

As a military-friendly institution, CBU seeks to support service members, veterans and their families to achieve their educational goals, said Jay Villasenor, director of the Veterans Resource Center.

“Attending post-secondary education is a major milestone for many veterans,” Villasenor said. “It is essential for CBU to accommodate the needs of veterans as non-traditional students and serve them in many ways. Being in the top 50 for ‘Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans’ validates our commitment to delivering high-quality programs that will satisfy the needs of veterans.”

CBU also ranked No. 60 for “Best Online Bachelor’s Programs” and No. 66 for “Best Online Master’s in Business Programs (Excluding MBA).”
