CBU men’s basketball headed for Sweet 16 showdown

Riverside, Calif. (March 12, 2018) – The men’s basketball team at California Baptist University punched its ticket to the Sweet 16 with a 72-68 victory over Azusa Pacific University, CBU’s seventh-straight win over APU, on March 10.

The No. 3 seeded Lancers (27-5) will face No. 1 seed Western Oregon (31-1) on March 12 at 7 p.m. in Monmouth, Oregon, for the NCAA Division II West Region Championship. CBU men’s squad is pursuing its first West Region Championship.

CBU is hosting a free Regional Championship game viewing party in the Events Center for students, alumni, season ticket holders, Lancer Athletics Association members and Lancer fans.
