CBU marks record as Fall 2025 enrollment passes 12,000

Riverside, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2025) — California Baptist University set another record with its Fall 2025 enrollment, marking the university’s 25th consecutive year of growth, President Ronald L. Ellis announced today.
At the fall CBU Board of Trustees meeting, Ellis announced the 2025 enrollment totaled 12,516 students. The number represents an increase of 585 students over fall 2024. The total also means that CBU reached its enrollment goal of 12,000 students by 2025, a goal set in 2015. CBU reached this milestone the same year it celebrates its 75th anniversary.
“Each number represents a student with purpose, and we are grateful for them and excited to see the difference they will make in the world,” Ellis said. “The Lord continues to bless CBU in a mighty way.”
Since Ellis became president in November 1994, CBU enrollment has grown from 808 students to 12,516 students, more than 15 times larger in 31 years. The University offers more than 100 majors along with 41 master programs and 10 doctoral programs.
