Best in the PacWest one last time
Riverside, Calif. (May 24, 2018) – For an unprecedented fifth-straight year and sixth overall, The Lancers claimed the PacWest Commissioner's Cup.
California Baptist University scored 164 points, an all-time high in the current 14-sport
format. CBU won six PacWest Championships in 2017-18 with men's and women's cross
country, men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball and women's golf. The Lancers
also finished second in men's basketball and softball, while baseball and women's
basketball took third.
"This accomplishment was made possible by outstanding student-athletes, talented coaches
and dedicated staff," said Dr. Micah Parker, CBU director of Athletics.
It marks the final time the Lancers will be eligible to win the PacWest Commissioner’s
cup as CBU transitions to NCAA Division I and the Western Athletic Conference this
fall.
