Below you will find Frequently Asked Questions. Some questions are related to all graduating students and some questions are specific to your degree type. So, be sure to scroll down and read all questions pertaining to your status.
Question: When do I receive my actual diploma?
Answer: Diplomas for students posting a degree on April 29, 2016 will be available to students beginning Monday, May 2nd. Students who meet the following qualifications will be able to pick up their diploma:
- The student has applied for and been approved for the April 29, 2016 posting date
- The student has all outstanding degree requirements met. This means all coursework has been completed and all outstanding grades and official transcripts have been received.
- The student has been cleared to receive their diploma by both the Financial Aid and Student Accounts Offices
Traditional Undergraduate and Graduate students will be able to pick up their diploma in the Office of the University Registrar (Yeager Center D118). Online and Professional Studies student will be able to pick up their diploma from their advisor at 10370 Hemet Street, Suite 200.
Question: What time do I have to arrive for Commencement related events?
Answer: Traditional Undergrad and all RN-BSN students need to be at the Citizens Business
Bank Arena no later than 11:30 am for the 1 pm ceremony on April 30, 2016. Masters
and Online and Professional Students (OPS) need to be at the Citizen's Bank Arena

Question: Will there be sign language interpreting?
Answer: An interpreter will be provided during each Commencement Ceremony for guests who are hearing disabled. Click here for more information about ceremony accommodations.
Question: How many guests can I invite?
Answer: Traditional Undergrad and all RN-BSN students participating in the 1 pm ceremony will receive 10 guests tickets. Masters and Online and Professional Students (OPS)participating in the 7 pm ceremony will be given 9 guest tickets. Graduates do not need a ticket for themselves. Question: Do I need to return my cap and gown?
Answer: No. The cap and gowns do not need to be returned. They are yours to keep. Click here for more information about regalia.
BACHELOR DEGREE CANDIDATES
Question: When will I get my honors cords?
Answer: Cords and stoles will be distributed upon arrival at Citizens Business Bank Arena

Question: How do I know if I qualify for honors?
Answer: Honors are determined by a student's cumulative grade point average at the completion
of the Spring 2016 semester. A list will be posted of candidates who qualify for honors.

Question: When will I receive my hood?
Answer: You will receive your hood during the hooding ceremony presented by your respective program. If you are unable to attend the hooding ceremony, your hood will be available at the Citizens Business Bank Arena when you arrive. Click here for more information about the Hooding Ceremonies.
