CBU Speech And Debate - Tournament Schedule 2013-2014

Fall Semester

Saturday, Sept. 28 - Warm-up at El Camino College, all individual events, open to any students*

Friday, Oct. 11th - Irvine Valley College - Novice/Junior Parliamentary debate only

Sunday, Oct. 13th - San Diego State - All individual events and Lincoln/Douglas debate*

Friday, Oct. 25th - Irvine Valley College - Lincoln/Douglas debate

Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 26th-27th - Pasadena City College - Students in their first two years only, Lincoln/Douglas both days, Extemp, Informative, STE, Prose & Poetry on Saturday, all others on Sunday.

Friday-Saturday, Nov. 8th-9th - Grossmont College - Individual events both days at two separate tournaments, L/D on Saturday as well (for scholarship students only on Friday, everyone on Saturday)*

Friday-Sunday, Dec. 6th-8th - Fall championships at Cal State Long Beach - L/D on Friday, IEs on Sunday (for everyone)

Saturday, Dec. 14th - Homeschool tournament (Service Learning opportunity for students in judging).

Spring Semester

Saturday-Sunday, Jan. 18th-19th - Orange Coast College - IEs on both days, two tournaments (for everyone)

Friday-Sunday, Feb. 7th-9th - Southwestern College & Point Loma, IEs on Friday and Sat/Sun, LD on Sat/Sun. (All scholarship students)

Sunday, Feb. 9th - Cal State Los Angeles (IEs for everyone)

Friday-Sunday, Feb. 15th-16th - Cerritos College (Sat IEs for novices and Sun. LD for everyone)

Friday-Sunday, Feb. 21st-23rd - Spring championships at Moorpark - L/D on Friday, IEs on Sunday.*

Saturday-Monday, March 6th-8th - National Christian College Tournament, hosted by CBU. (All events, anyone with two high quality events, or any student willing to pay a banquet fee)

Thursday-Sunday, March 20th-23rd - Pi Kappa Delta National Comprehensive Tournament, Butler University, Indianapolis (Top scholarship students)

Saturday-Sunday, April 26th-27th - Cool-off tournament at Saddleback College (Debate on Saturday, IEs on Sunday, both are Novice Only)
