What to pack
Packing List
Want to know if the bunk bed you’ve been sleeping on since you were twelve is something you should drag into your new dorm room? Not sure if you'll need a refrigerator for your apartment? Wondering if your turtle, Toby, is allowed to be a third roommate/hall mascot?
As you prepare to move into your new room or apartment at CBU, please take some time to look over the following lists of items to bring that will help it feel more like home.
When considering what to bring, please remember two basic rules:
- You cannot install or affix anything in the room/apartment that will be permanent or cause damage to walls, doors, ceilings, or floors.
- You will be sharing a relatively small space with another person or persons. Contact your roommate(s) and discuss what you each plan to bring. Needless to say, there may not be room for two stereos, two televisions, etc.
The following lists should help you decide what to bring:
| Essentials | Suggested Items | Prohibited Items |
|
Alarm clock * These items are essential specifically for residents of the apartment areas. |
Computer * These items are suggested specifically for residents of the apartment areas. |
Pets (except fish) + These items are allowed in the apartment areas only. Safety and sanitary considerations prohibit the items listed above. If you should arrive with any of these items, you will be required to send them home. |
