Marital Assessment

The CBU Counseling Center offers premarital and marital counseling for couples, including personality assessments, discussions about relationship issues, and conflict resolution.

Several of our counselors are certified in the Prepare/Enrich approach to marital and premarital counseling. Prepare/Enrich is an assessment tool that identifies major relationship issues a couple may experience. The counselor then facilitates discussion between the partners based on inventory results. The value of Prepare/Enrich is seen in:

Increased partner awareness of strengths as well as potential growth areas
Discussions concerning issues vital to the relationship
Learning valuable communication and conflict resolution skills
Helping couples become aware of important issues before they turn into major problems
