Summer Swim Camp Session 1

Monday, June 16th - All Day

Highlights

  • Experienced CBU Coaching Staff and athletes.
  • 7 to 1 Coach to athlete ratio with in-water coaching
  • Camp T-shirt.
  • Personal video analysis given to swim campers.
  • Strokes, starts, turns and finishes are evaluated.
  • Swim campers receive a free swim snorkel.

Three Camp Sessions

June 16-20, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
June 23-27 3, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
July 14-18, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.**

Open to all boys and girls age 9 – 17.
All skill levels are welcome!
** Resident, Day and extended day camper options are availible.
** 7:1 camper to coach ratio, with water coaching .
** Each camper will receive a camp T-shirt and a Finis Swim Snorkel to take home with them
** July dates only include day camp and extended day camp option.

Sample Camp Schedule

7–7:30 am Wake up, clean up and go to breakfast.
7:30–8 am Breakfast @ CBU Dining Hall (Residents)
8:15 am Day and Extended Day campers arrival.
8:30 am Stretching and dryland activities for stroke of the day emphasis.
9-10:30 am Swim Drills/Videotaping for stroke of Day.
10:30-11:30 Videotape Analysis in Classroom.
11:45 am Lunch @ CBU cafeteria (all campers).
12:30–1 pm Game room or Classroom talk video education / systems & drills for workouts.
1–2:30 pm Stretching, Warm-up, Review Stroke of Day Drill, Videotape - Starts, Turns and Finishes.
2:45–4 pm Videotape Analysis in Classroom.
4:00–5 pm Rest time @ Dormitory and/or dry land recreation.
5:00 pm Day campers depart
5:00–6 pm Dinner @ CBU Dining Hall
6-6:45 pm Dryland training, timed swims, swim camp water fun, water polo or swim video.
6:45–8:45 Water polo scrimmaging/games or swim competitions.
8:45 pm Residents recreation time until 9:45.

Additional Information

Registration: Between 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on the first day of each session at Lancers Aquatic Center.

Pick-up: Parents are invited to a closing ceremony at 1 p.m. on the last day of each session. (Camp ends at 1:30 p.m.)

Transportation: Arrangements can be made between the Ontario Airport and CBU. There will be a $25 round trip fee. Please provide complete flight information. Fee due at pick-up. No half-trip fees available.

Ages: 9 – 17 (grades 4th – 12th only).

Medical: All camp personnel are certified in first aid and CPR.

Room and Board: CBU features comfortable living accommodations in attractive dormitories with staff members on duty at all times. Be sure to bring a towel, toiletries and bedding (sheets, blanket and pillow), or a sleeping bag. Delicious and nutritional buffet style meals will be served in the CBU cafe.

Tuition

Resident Camper: $509: includes lodging, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Extended Day Camper: $409: Includes 2 meals
Day Camper: $309: Includes lunch.
Instructional DVD: $19

Family/Team Discounts: Tuition includes room and or board, instruction, T-shirt
Family Discount (2 or more): $25 per camper
Team Discount (6 or more): $25 per camper
Multi-Camp Discount: $25 off for Day Campers and $50 off for Resident Campers who participate in more than one camp.
